The orthopaedic and trauma surgery department specializes in endoprosthetics; minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery on knee, shoulder and ankle joints; foot surgery; spine surgery with emphasis on the lumbar spine; bone tumour surgery with limb salvage; and sports orthopaedics. All treatment is performed exclusively by recognized specialists in their fields. Every year, close to 5,000 outpatient and inpatient operations are performed in the hospital, including over 900 endoprosthetic implants.
